If you’ve not heard of One Laptop per Child (OLPC) you should listen to this presentation Nicholas Negroponte gave about his $100 laptop at the February 2006 T.E.D. conference which I found over at the T.E.D. Blog. I learned of the T.E.D. blog by reading If your idea is worth spreading, then presentation matters over …
About Focused Blogs
On last Friday I blogged about my new Saleforce.com blog that I recently launched. Now you might ask why didn’t I just post my comments about Salesforce.com here on Miscellanous Ramblings? The simple answer is I’ve learned over the past several years of blogging that, aside from being a vanity play, unfocused blogs really don’t …
A New Blog of Mine: Thoughts on Salesforce.com
Last week I mentioned I had several new projects on the burner, and one of them is my blog about Salesforce.com: Thoughts on Salesforce.com UPDATE: I sold this blog, late 2008 I think. For a pittance.
Starting a New Chapter in Life…
Those of you who follow my blog are aware it has been a long time since I’ve last posted. Some of you already know what has been going on in my life, but most of you don’t. For those of you who do not as well as the rest of you it’s time for me …
Kudos to Microsoft: Visual Studio Express Tools Free Forever!
I just learned that Microsoft has decided to make the Visual Studio Express tools free forever. This to me shows Microsoft’s acknowledgment that people are not willing to invest their time learning a product that they will eventually have to pay more for then they have funds available or earmarked, especially young people. I greatly applaud …

Simple Solution to Phishing Epidemic?

The Virtualization Wars Begin: Microsoft Virtual Server is Free!
It’s nice to be correct. Or at least to suggest something that Microsoft ends up doing. :) A few months back I suggested Microsoft give away Virtual Server, and today they are announcing just that! Good deal. Let the virtualization wars begin! :) P.S. Now if Microsoft would just support the VMware hard disk format, …

Windows 2003 Server Web Edition doesn’t support SQL Server?!?
I am setting up a new computer running VMware GSX Server (because the new free VMware Server is still in beta) for which I plan to use one of the virtual machines to run a few websites including a DotNetNuke website that stores its content in SQL Server. So I decided to install Windows 2003 Server …

Delphi for Sale! Wonder who will Buy?
I just read the news today that Borland is going to sell it’s IDE Tools Business that includes Delphi, C++ Builder, C# Builder, JBuilder, Kylix and InterBase.
